Caldav-carddav not working on e-os

I'm running e/os on my phone (a degoogled version of android) and davx5 is a built-in feature of it. When trying to add my mailbox account with the regular URL of https://dav.mailbox.org it doesn't work. The account is added but nothing seems to be discovered, so no calendars or contacts are synced. Is there something I can do to fix this?

You can find the English user forum here. Do you get any error message? Do you use 2FA and app passwords for *DAV?

Oh didn't know there were two forums, woops. As for your questions: I can't find any error messages. I do 2fa but I indeed also use an app password. The credentials seem fine. I tested with fault credentials on purpose to see if that would trigger an error and it did.

Sorry, I don't know /e/OS. Maybe it works if you enter the full Card/CalDAV URL. Check the contacts/calender properties in the mailbox suite.

I tried that too but didn't make any difference unfortunately

Can you test with a different smartphone (OS) or PC/Mac? Does a different Card/CalDAV provider work? Are there any logfiles that you can check? Maybe an /e/OS bug? https://community.e.foundation/

I can add the account on my PC (Linux/gnome). I have some other accounts in e/os such as Nextcloud. So it appears to be something related to both mailbox and e/os

I installed the free DAVx Select application by bitfire web engineering. That worked with mailbox.org for me.
